Faithfulness Revealed Daily

It is the faithfulness of God that ultimately brings me through each and every day. As I contemplate that character of God today I am in complete awe. My child naps just across the room and he is such a reminder that in all things God has remained faithful, although I do not deserve it in any way. That fact makes it that much greater and leaves me in even more reverance of Him.

For years I prayed God would bring us to the right church. One that would allow us to grow and be involved and be correct in its teaching. In July, all of those prayers were answered and it was all in His perfect timing. This church is exactly what we were looking for. We came at a time where the pastor has started laying out his vision for the church and in essence has told the congregation "I don't care how you feel, I care how God feels!". What a breath of fresh air, especially in today's world, to hear that sentiment! We have finally found our church home and every time it crosses my mind I am excited and encouraged about it!

I have had my eyes opened a great deal in the past few months. It all started when we were watching TBN (we watch at times just to see what false teachers are doing so that we can be informed) and this show came on called "The Way of the Master" with Kirk Cameron (yes, the guy from Growing Pains) and Ray Comfort. They were talking about the Ten Commandments (something we don't hear a lot about anymore) and they were going up to people on the street asking them if they had broken any of the commandments and informing them that they would be guilty as sinners on Judgment Day. They emphasized the importance of penetrating the heart of a sinner to bring them to genuine repentance and true saving faith rather than telling someone, 'It would be so much easier if you would just find Christ.' I am ashamed to say that I had never even thought of this method. But seeing it first hand and hearing them speak...I knew they were right and Scripture backs them up 100%! Once again...the faithfulness of God is revealed daily. You can check out their website if you are interested in finding out more about them: http://www.wayofthemaster.com

1 John 1:8-1:10
If we say we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and refusing to accept the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong. If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

Psalm 18:25-18:29
To the faithful you show yourself faithful;
to those with integrity you show integrity.
To the pure you show yourself pure,
but to the wicked you show yourself hostile.
You rescue those who are humble,
but you humiliate the proud.
Lord, you have brought light to my life;
my God, you light up my darkness.
In your strength I can crush an army;
with my God I can scale any wall.

Psalm 31:3-31:5
You are my rock and my fortress.
For the honor of your name, lead me out of this peril.
Pull me from the trap my enemies set for me,
for I find protection in you alone.
I entrust my spirit into your hand.
Rescue me, Lord, for you are a faithful God.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-5:24
Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until that day when our Lord Jesus Christ comes again. God, who calls you, is faithful; he will do this.

Sounds like Peter in Acts 2, heh? None of this HE accepts you the way you are stuff. He comes to you as you are and transforms you into HIS own.
